Service Description

Helix4HE supports higher education institutions, research organisations and education partners in strengthening research strategy, innovation capacity, knowledge exchange, research visibility and societal impact. Our advisory support helps institutions examine how their research performance, outputs, impact, visibility and external engagement contribute to academic identity, institutional distinctiveness, regional relevance and global standing. We work with organisations to develop evidence-informed approaches that recognise both disciplinary excellence and the wider contribution of research to society. This may include support with research performance analysis, research outputs review, impact assessment, research visibility, research communications, SDG alignment, knowledge exchange, industry and civic partnerships, innovation ecosystems, stakeholder engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, performance review and alignment with institutional priorities. We also support smaller and emerging institutions seeking to build research capacity gradually and credibly. This includes helping institutions identify the most appropriate and impactful fields for research development, taking account of existing strengths, academic expertise, regional and societal needs, partnership potential, resource capacity and opportunities for long-term visibility and contribution. Helix4HE helps institutions move from fragmented research activity towards more coherent and purposeful research development, supporting approaches that are academically credible, strategically focused and meaningful to scholars, students, partners, policymakers and society.
