Obinna Okereke

Obinna Okereke is an international higher education strategist specialising in student mobility, employability, and institutional partnerships across Africa, the UK, and global markets. His work focuses on strengthening the connection between recruitment, student experience, and graduate outcomes, enabling institutions to deliver more effective and impactful education pathways.

He currently serves as Product Owner at UniGlobal Careers and Partnerships Manager at SetlWork, where he leads collaborations with universities and recruitment partners to embed employability within international education delivery at scale. His work supports institutions in aligning education provision with labour market outcomes.

Previously, Obinna held senior roles at Coventry University, where he led projects impacting over 30,000 students across multiple campuses. His work involved managing complex, cross-functional initiatives and delivering large-scale institutional programmes.

He has also contributed at national level through governance and quality assurance roles, including serving as Deputy Panel Chair for the Teaching Excellence Framework and as a University Governor. These roles reflect his influence in shaping sector standards and institutional performance across the UK higher education landscape.

Obinna brings a combination of policy insight, product development expertise, and operational delivery, enabling institutions to design and implement end-to-end strategies that support students from access through to successful graduate outcomes.
